IC POWER TECHNOLOGY

The range of DELTA brand batteries is impressive. And only in the batteries of the DTM-I and GEL series, a functional LCD display is implemented, which displays the estimated battery charge level, the current voltage and the number of days of operation. In case of a low charge, technical malfunction or other violations during operation, the system will notify you with an audible signal and a warning on the display.

The operation of the functional LCD display is implemented through IC Power technology. With the help of IC Power, various voltages are generated that are necessary for powering, for example, the screen, keyboard and any other device.

It is important to remember that the LCD display is not a full-fledged measuring device and displays the estimated capacity of the battery. Measurements of the actual capacity must be carried out in accordance with GOST R IEC 60896-21-2013.

HOW TO EXTEND THE" LIFE " OF THE BATTERY

Another advantage of the DTM-I and GEL series batteries is the possibility of a one-time increase in battery life during operation. Containers with a special solution of sulfuric acid, supplied in the kit, will help to extend the "life" of the battery. A simple system of topping up a specialized solution makes it possible to increase the battery life by 15-30%. For the convenience of consumers, the manufacturer has put information stickers on the case of each battery with a detailed guide on how to use the display and how to top up the composition (Fig. 1).

BATTERY WITHOUT MAINTENANCE

The batteries of the DTM-I and GEL series have a low internal resistance and high energy density, a completely sealed design, as a result of which electrolyte leakage is impossible, the presence of an internal gas recombination system allows you to completely abandon refilling water, and there are no restrictions on transportation by air, rail or motor transport, which allows you to implement projects throughout the Russian Federation.

DIFFERENT TECHNOLOGIES – DIFFERENT APPLICATIONS

AGM-Delta DTM-I batteries

In the batteries (Fig. 2), manufactured using AGM (Absorber Glass Mat) technology, a porous fiberglass material is used as a separator. This fiberglass material is an absorber, that is, it is able to absorb liquids and gases. The micropores of the fiberglass separator are filled with electrolyte. The micropores of the separator also circulate gases that are released during the operation of the lead battery.

It should be noted that there is no electrolyte in the free state.

Batteries manufactured using AGM technology are most often used for uninterrupted power supply for relatively short time intervals of 15-300 minutes. The cyclic service life of batteries made using AGM technology is shown in Fig. 3.

GEL 12-120 (1).png
Delta GEL batteries In batteries made using AGM+GEL technology (Fig. 4), a glass-fiber porous separator is used as a separator, which is impregnated with an electrolyte. In addition to the impregnated fiberglass separator, there is a gel in the battery. This gel is a silicate thickener (a salt of silicic acid) impregnated with an electrolyte. Visually, the gel looks like a jelly-like mass. At the beginning of operation, the gel is dried and cracks form in it, which are additional channels for gas circulation. The addition of a gel-like electrolyte leads to an increase in the cyclic resource and a decrease in self-discharge.

Taking into account that with autonomous power supply from renewable energy sources, the full charge of the battery is probabilistic and is not always feasible in a timely manner due to the lack of generation for any reason, batteries manufactured using GEL+AGM technology can be discharged at long intervals even up to 1.8 V/el. The cyclic service life of batteries made using GEL+AGM technology is shown in Fig. 5.

EXPERT ADVICE

When choosing a battery, it is necessary to take into account not only the power consumption, battery life and operating voltage, but also the technology by which the battery is manufactured.

Since batteries with similar discharge characteristics and the same service life have different purposes, it is necessary to take into account the combination of many operational factors when choosing a battery. If we choose the wrong battery, for example, as part of a solar battery, we will not get efficient operation.

ЭНЕРГОН engineers will help you make a technically correct and reasonable choice of a battery. Smart lead-acid batteries of the Delta DTM-I and GEL series with an LCD display that displays the operation status of the equipment allow you to take the necessary measures in time for the correct operation of the batteries.
